Space Force is a workplace comedy about the group of professionals tasked with launching the Trump administration’s newly created sixth branch of the US military called the Space Force. The show will debut on Netflix on May 29, the streamer announced on Wednesday.

What do you get when you mix veterans of The Office, reunited for a new Netflix comedy that skewers part of the Trump administration, and round out the cast with talent like Steve Carell, Lisa Kudrow, Ben Schwartz, and John Malkovich? A recipe for a streaming hit, if you ask me.

We’ll know soon enough whether Space Force, the new workplace comedy from Carell and Office showrunner Greg Daniels, will be everyone’s next Netflix binge come May 29 when it premieres on the streamer. Netflix announced the release date today, along with offering a first look at the series (which was unaffected by the wave of coronavirus shutdowns that have sidelined a ton of other Netflix productions), the focus of which is the head-scratcher of a new military branch the Trump administration created — the Space Force. “Space is … hard,” reads the “About” page of the official Facebook account for the show.

When I travel anywhere these days, I feel like I need a separate bag just for all the adapters and cables I need to charge up all my gear. I have a giant brick with a different cord coming out of each end for my MacBook, and I have a separate USB-C adapter and a USB-C to Lightning cable for my iPhone. It’s 50% smaller and about 50% lighter than the MacBook’s wall adapter, and it has a total power output of 65W. That means you can connect it to just your laptop and it’ll charge at a full 65W, or you can plug in a second cable and fast-charge your iPhone or iPad at full speed while your laptop charges at 45W.

There are two different versions of the AUKEY Omnia Dual-Port 65W Fast Charger, and they’re both on sale right now on Amazon. Doctors are testing several other drugs that could improve the prognosis of patients, and one of them involves plasma.

The race is on to develop wonder drugs that can help humanity get rid of the novel coronavirus infection, but we’ll have to wait as long as 18 months to get them. These are vaccines that can provide immunity against the SARS-CoV-2 virus and eradicate the disease, assuming everyone on the planet gets inoculated. Until then, other cures including drugs that are used to treat various illnesses could be used to speed up recovery and reduce the number of fatal cases. And doctors are already working on the coronavirus “game-changer” drug we’re all waiting for.

If you immediately thought of hydroxychloroquine, the anti-malarial that President Trump believes is a game-changer against COVID-19, that’s not it. In fact, hydroxychloroquine is far from becoming a COVID-19 cure. There’s just not enough data to support the idea that it works. What does work, however, is an old type of therapy that’s now being customized for COVID-19 treatment.

Arlo’s battery-powered security cameras are indeed terrific in many ways, but there are two big problems with them that are both addressed by Amazon’s rival home security cameras.

Battery-powered home security cameras are fantastic because they’re so easy to install without paying anyone or taking the time to run wires. That’s why I chose Arlo for my own home when shopping for a home security camera system. I’m reasonably happy with them, but if I had it to do over again I would have definitely chosen Amazon’s Blink cameras instead. Why? Because there are two big problems with Arlo cameras and Blink cameras address them both.

First, Arlo cameras are great because they’re rechargeable but the battery only lasts 2-3 months, tops. Blink cameras use regular AA batteries, and they can last for up to 2 years before the batteries need to be changed. That means by the time you have to change the batteries in your Blink camera, I might have had to recharge my Arlo cam as many as 12 times. And second, Arlo cameras are insanely expensive, with prices that climb as high as $300 for a single camera. That’s no typo… one camera!

Not all coronavirus patients appear to have lung damage, despite having low blood-oxygen levels.
Scans show healthy lungs, but patients are struggling with oxygen anyway, leaving doctors puzzled.
One possible explanation is that damaged areas of the lungs aren’t rerouting blood flow as they should, possibly due to some unique aspect of the novel coronavirus, but more research needs to be done to confirm this.

The novel coronavirus pandemic has already cost thousands of lives, and when it comes to the most serious symptoms of COVID-19, it’s the virus’s effects on the lungs that are the most serious. The virus is known to trigger pneumonia in the most severe of cases, often requiring assisted breathing for patients who are affected. However, as WebMD reports, scans of a patient’s lungs are sometimes mysteriously unhelpful.

When a patient suspected of having coronavirus is admitted, blood work is done and, in a significant number of cases, low oxygen levels are noted. In cases like this, doctors would expect to see obstructions or damage in the lungs or labored breathing, but some patients appear to be breathing fine and X-ray scans show lungs that look relatively healthy.

Doctors treating coronavirus patients have been trying to figure out the immune system’s “cytokine storm” that can kill COVID-19 patients.
These “storms” can occur suddenly, even in patients who are recovering from the disease and people who don’t have other underlying conditions.
Doctors have been using drugs to lower the immune response and avoid these “cytokine storms” with some success, although more studies are required.

The coronavirus nightmare is far from over, and we may be looking at a seasonal illness that keeps coming back. The first COVID-19 vaccines will be available next year at the soonest, and plenty of people will still die before then. As of Wednesday morning, there were more than 1,414,000 COVID-19 cases, including more than 83,000 deaths. The US alone accounts for nearly 400,000 COVID-19 patients and almost 13,000 deaths. The curve is yet to be flattened in many countries dealing with the epidemic, but with each day that goes by, scientists are figuring out new things about the illness. Like the fact that COVID-19 can develop neurological or cardiac symptoms. Or that the virus can be killed with ease by an anti-parasitic drug in lab conditions.

While a cure isn’t available and we need to wait even more time for the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 drug mega trial to run its course, doctors have started figuring out why some people die. And it’s not just the elderly and those patients who have other underlying medical conditions who are at risk. It’s unexpected deaths in patients who seem to be recovering, only for the disease to take a sudden turn for the worst that can result in death. It’s apparently a “cytokine storm” at play, and doctors still don’t understand exactly why it happens.
