In his regular HBO show that features “the fewest games and the least impressive thrones,” John Oliver has a segment in which he tries to understand why some things still exist, like daylight savings time or the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. But he’s now looking to figure out why some things that we desperately need haven’t been invented yet.

Last Week Tonight is on vacation for Memorial Day, so Oliver recorded a YouTube exclusive video to tell us some of the things he’d like to see invented to make our lives easier.

May 29th, 2016. Remember that date.

I can’t pinpoint exactly when it happened, but I remember how sad I was when I finally came to terms with the fact that The Sopranos had gone from being one of the best television series the world had ever seen to being a disappointment. It might not have been until the show’s final season, but the writers simply ran out of steam and the actors followed closely behind. Some would say that they pulled things together for the finale, which was certainly one of the most polarizing conclusions a popular show has ever seen. But no one would argue that The Sopranos wrapped up on a level that was nowhere close to where it began.

With that in mind, let’s have a quick chat about Game of Thrones.

It might be Memorial Day in the United States but half way around the world, Computex kicked off early with a big press conference hosted by Asus. The company had a number of interesting announcements in store for attendees, including a sleek MacBook clone and a new smartphone that pulls off a stunning design feat not even Apple can manage with the iPhone 7. But the new Zenbo home robot may have been the company’s most intriguing announcement on Monday, offering users an adorable interactive machine that’s smarter than any dog or cat. Also of note, it doesn’t poop or scratch up your furniture.

Hodor is gone, but we hardly have any time to mourn losses on Game of Thrones. The show is moving at a very fast pace, as there are plenty of converging subplots to follow — that’s why not all our favorite characters get screen time in every episode. There’s simply no room to expand on all the story lines in just under 60 minutes, but the closer we get to the end of the sixth season, the more action we’re bound to see.

Without spoiling last night’s episode for you, we can tell you that war is looming in the Seven Kingdoms. At least that’s what the fresh trailer of episode seven, due to air on June 5th, suggests. But spoilers are coming below, so avoid the new trailer if you haven’t seen episode six yet.

There’s no question about it, Samsung’s Galaxy S7 is one of the best Android phones money can buy this year. But Asus has come up with a phone that’s not only cheaper than Samsung’s newest flagship, it also packs crazy hardware and specs that should offer an amazing performance. The new Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe has specs so impressive that it could easily power up an ultraportable laptop.
