It’s crazy to think how reliant we still are on printed documents in the digital age. Crazier still is the fact that people continue to spend a small fortune on printer ink. We recently told readers how to save 90% or even more when buying replacement ink cartridges for your printer, and we received a tremendous amount of positive feedback after running that article. But that strategy doesn’t address the second printer pain point that follows closely behind the cost of ink: The frequency with which people need to purchase ink refills.

Brother recently launched a series of “INKvestment” printers that pack longer-lasting ink cartridges, and now the company is pushing things a step further by adding two new affordable models that start at just $199.

It took eons, but Nokia is finally making the Android phones we always hoped it would make. To get here, Nokia had to lose its grip on the mobile business, choose Windows Mobile as its only smartphone OS, and then sell its entire mobile division to Microsoft. But the American software giant was unable to make anything good come out of its Nokia Lumia and Windows Phone brands, turning the acquisition into a failure of epic proportions.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is selling its feature phone business to Foxconn. And Nokia is licensing its name, which it’s buying back from Microsoft, to a company that will work with the same Foxconn subsidiary to make feature phones, Android smartphones and Android tablets in the near future.

The point is, Nokia is finally making Android phones, even if it won’t actually build them

The internet is a necessity nowadays, not a luxury, yet there are still plenty of logistical wrinkles to iron out. We’re not happy with overall internet speeds or slow uploads, and no one can stand data caps. We also hate problematic Wi-Fi and poor LTE coverage. At the same time, internet consumption is at an all-time high and it’s only increasing.

Thankfully, it looks like one company has figured out how to deliver internet speeds as fast as fiber to your home without actually needing fiber optic cables to do it. And it’s not just an experiment that works in a lab — it’s a product that’ll soon be deployed, with AT&T being one of the first companies to use it.
