With more than 400,000 Tesla Model 3 reservations already on the books, it’s no secret that Tesla will have to kick things into high gear to ensure that reservation holders won’t need to wait until 2020 to receive their car.

To address such concerns, Tesla during its earnings conference call this past Wednesday announced a more aggressive production timeline that will see the company aim to manufacture 500,000 vehicles in 2018, two years ahead of its initial 2020 projection. In fact, Tesla CEO Elon Musk went so far as to boldly predict that Tesla by 2017 will see Model 3 production fall in the 100,000 to 200,000 range.

Home theater projector prices have really come down in recent years, but the best of the bunch are still pretty expensive. For example, if you see a projector that does 3D 1080p HD and is so good that it’s rated for gaming, you can probably safely assume that it’s going to be a bit pricey. When it comes to the Optoma GT1080 1080p 3D DLP Gaming Projector, your assumption would be correct — but not while it’s on sale for 55% off list!

Over the weekend, officials in Glassgow, Scottland rigged a 24-story building with explosives in an effort to safely demolish it. And seeing as how building demolitions don’t come around all that frequently, photographer Garry Cornes set out to video tape the entire event.

Picking out the perfect spot from across the street, Cornes set up his video camera to get an all-encompassing wide shot of the controlled explosion. Everything was seemingly in order as the first round of explosives went off, that is, until the entire video was ruined by an unsuspecting photobomber.

In the period between Season 5 and Season 6 of Game of Thrones, fans of HBO’s fantasy drama went back and forth obsessing over one single question — Is Jon Snow really dead? In turn, the previous few months were chock full of fan theories detailing how Jon Snow might have survived his murder at the end of Season 5.

Of course, such theories were promptly laid to bed during this season’s first episode. Nonetheless, we’re still not entirely sure what plans HBO and author George R.R. Martin have in store for Snow.

With that backdrop, Saturday Night Live over the weekend took some time to poke fun at the waiting game that HBO forced fans to endure over the past few months. Indeed, ever since Season 5 ended, we’ve had to withstand a seemingly endless avalanche of debates and theories — often ridiculous — regarding the fate of Jon Snow.

Google usually likes to keep things consistent, but the search giant over the weekend started A/B testing a new design for its search results page that has some users wondering if Google has lost its mind. Over the past few years, we’ve heard a number of grandiose promises about a new software platform called Viv. Created by Siri co-creator Dag Kittlaus and small team of engineers, Viv is effectively a futuristic AI system that will reportedly blow Siri and other intelligent personal assistants out of the water.

While a service like Siri, for example, can only handle relatively simple queries that it’s pre-programmed to process, Viv is engineered to handle complex and multi-layered queries on the fly. As an illustrative example, Kittlaus recently said that Viv can handle a query like, “Find me a flight to Dallas with a seat that Shaq could fit in,” with ease.
