This has been a very good week for Elon Musk. In addition to seeing the Tesla Model 3 total more than 325,000 reservations, his other company SpaceX just successfully landed one of its Falcon 9 rockets on a floating barge in the middle of the ocean. This is the first time that SpaceX has successfully landed a rocket on an ocean platform, although last December it successfully landed a rocket on solid ground.

It’s been a pretty slow Friday, which is why BuzzFeed decided to spice things up significantly by finding a very creative way to blow up a watermelon. Even better, they decided to do a live stream of the whole thing in which as many as 500,000 people watched at the same time.

What you are about to see is pointless and stupid… but you will not be able to look away.

Cliffhanger might not be the right word to describe the final moments of Game of Thrones’ fifth season, but it definitely left us wanting more. There are countless plot threads to wrap up, characters in limbo that need accounting for and, of course, the threat of winter finally hitting Westeros in full force.

We’re still more than two weeks away from the premiere, but HBO has started releasing some details about the season’s first episode.

Tesla already lowering Model 3 expectations for two key features

%name Tesla already lowering Model 3 expectations for two key features by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Following last week’s unveiling of the Model 3, Tesla is riding pretty high right now. And with good reason: The company managed to convince more than 325,000 buyers to put down $1,000 for a car that they likely won’t receive until 2018 at the earliest. Of course, the big question mark hovering over the company now is whether or not they can actually handle that level of production. While it’s undoubtedly encouraging that hundreds of thousands of consumers are eager to purchase the Model 3, its possible that interest may wane if some deliveries are pushed back until 2020.

Another issue surrounding the Model 3 is that its feature-set isn’t entirely clear at this point. Yeah, we know it’s a sleek car with fast acceleration, but many other important features remain a bit murky to say the least. For instance, when Musk first introduced the Model 3, he insinuated that Supercharging would be free. However, a closer inspection of Musk’s remarks revealed that Supercharging capabilities on the Model 3 would come standard, perhaps implying that Model 3 users might have to pay for Supercharging access.

News reporters can be as professional as they come, but sometimes life has a funny way of turning what should otherwise be a serious segment into a comedic blooper. While we’ve covered news bloopers before (this compilation of 2015 missteps is certainly worth taking a look at), News Be Funny recently came out with an entirely fresh batch of bloopers that should be good for more than a few laughs ahead of the weekend.

A Barbie doll sits innocently atop a workbench, unaware of the 100 tons of terror that are about to close in on it. Off camera, we hear a man with a Finnish accent say ominously that the doll is “beautiful… but [for] how long?” A motor starts whirring up and within seconds a hydraulic press closes in on the iconic toy and then… SQUISH.

This is the kind of wanton destruction that occurs on a regular basis at the Hydraulic Press Channel, a YouTube channel that popped up last year and has since become a smash hit on social media sites like Reddit. As of this writing, the channel has more than 450,000 subscribers and its videos have been watched collectively more than 36 million times.

This week, BGR talked with the channel’s founder Lauri Vuohensilta about his newfound Internet fame and his ambitions to take crushing things with hydraulic presses to a whole new level.
