Amazon Prime is about much more than just free two-day shipping. Amazon’s special Prime membership also includes unlimited streaming of thousands of movies and TV shows from the company’s always-expanding digital content library, unlimited music streaming from Amazon’s library of millions of songs, unlimited cloud photo storage and access to new free Kindle books each month. Samsung’s multi-billion dollar marketing budget was the key factor in the company’s meteoric rise to the top of the smartphone market. Samsung said it would make people love its phones as much as they loved iPhones, and its marketing team delivered. Bashing Apple’s customers and their precious iPhones was a key element of Samsung’s marketing strategy, and it worked… in 2011. Fast-forward to today, and Samsung’s handset profits have declined for the past seven consecutive quarters while Apple continues to set new iPhone sales records each quarter.
Of course, that won’t stop Samsung from trying, and the company’s latest antics involved trolling Apple’s big iPhone 6s launch in London, England.

It seems that we can’t even go one year without an iPhone “scandal” being blown completely out of proportion. With the iPhone 5s, everyone began worrying about Apple having access to user fingerprint data. The following year, with the iPhone 6, we bore witness to the “bendgate” scandal that was more rooted in hysteria and fear-mongering than cold hard evidence. In fact, Apple last year said that they only received a total of nine complaints of bent iPhones during the first six days of availability.
Nonetheless, Apple with the iPhone 6s decided to put “bendgate” to rest for good. As such, Apple this year opted to use Series 7000 aluminum over the Series 6000 aluminum it employed on the previous iPhone. Consequently, the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus represent the sturdiest iPhones Apple has ever released.

It’s iPhone 6s launch day today, meaning that millions of devices are going to be delivered to excited buyers around the world who preordered the handset, and others will purchase their chosen model in stores. Like many people, I decided not to wait in line for hours to get the iPhone and preordered it instead. And like many of those customers who ordered a new smartphone from Apple in the past few weeks – at least according to unofficial estimates – I got a pink model.

The iPhone 6s is currently on sale in various markets around the world, after nearly two weeks of preorders. The folks at iFixit, the well-known do-it-yourself gadget repair site, were among the first people in the world to get their hands on a fresh new iPhone. Apple’s iPhone 6 was released on September 19th last year, which means people have been waiting for the next-generation iPhone 6s to launch ever since September 20th, 2014. Well, Apple fans, the wait is finally over. It’s 8:00 a.m. on the East Coast, which means the brand new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are officially available for purchase in the United States.

It looks like Google isn’t out of the antitrust hot water just yet. Bloomberg’s sources claim that the Federal Trade Commission is in the early stages of an antitrust investigation into Google’s business practices with Android, its popular mobile operating system.

Fixing the iOS storage problems that surfaced as soon as iOS 8 was released last fall was one of Apple’s priorities for iOS 9. And Apple largely delivered. The new iOS 9 release requires three times less storage space than iOS 8 freeing up more memory to the user. At the same time, Apple slashed iCloud prices, making cloud storage even more affordable than before, and added a smart iOS feature that lets the device automatically delete apps to make sure a software update can be properly installed. Finally, Apple added a major new app-related feature in iOS 9 to further free up storage space called app thinning.
