The Indian Space Research Organisation has released a series of beautiful images taken by the country’s Mangalyaan Mars Orbiter. The images reveal striking details of the Ophir Chasma, a canyon that spans about 186 miles of the planet’s surface.
The orbiter marks India’s first interplanetary space venture.

There are a lot of large and very freaky creatures lurking at the bottom of the ocean. One of them is the stygiomedusa gigantea, a gigantic species of jellyfish that can have a diameter of up to one meter and that features long, thick tentacles that can be as long as six meters. This is not something you want to encounter while swimming but thankfully it seems you have to go pretty deep into the sea to encounter one, as a new video of the creature shows.

Google surprised Android fans earlier this week by finally confirming that the final name of Android M will be Marshmallow, but the company is not quite ready to roll out the finished build of Android 6.0 just yet. Instead, Google only released the third and last developer preview version of Marshmallow, which can be installed on any of the supported Nexus devices by anyone looking to try it out.
Other people looking to experience parts of Android 6.0 have a few options though, including the new official wallpapers, the new boot animation and now the new Google Now Launcher app.

Recently I uninstalled Flash on both my Windows PC and my MacBook and I was amazed at how much it improved my online experience. Now PC World has gone ahead and run some tests to figure out just how much Flash is a drain on browser performance and has discovered disabling Flash can improve your browser’s performance by as much as 80%.

You’d better be sitting down for this, but the Galaxy Note 5 isn’t drop-proof either – no phone is. The glass-and-metal Galaxy Note 5 looks a lot better than any of its predecessors, and the smartphone is supposed to be even more durable than any of them. But if you drop Samsung’s newest flagship from various heights on a hard surface it won’t be able to survive without getting at least some glass damage.
