- Amazon recently announced that due to the novel coronavirus epidemic, it will stop restocking and shipping nonessential products until early April in order to make as much room as possible in its warehouses for medical supplies and other essentials.
- The retailer will continue to sell off remaining inventory, but it appears as though stock of popular items is already starting to dwindle.
- New deals are starting to become particularly unimpressive, but there are still some deep discounts on best-selling items that shoppers can take advantage of before they sell out.

In light of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, Amazon announced a massive change to its typical plans earlier this week. The online retail giant said that it would soon stop restocking and shipping nonessential products in order to free up as much capacity as possible for essentials like medical supplies, cleaners, and disinfectants. It’s unclear exactly when nonessential shipments will cease, but once they do, they won’t start back up again until April 5th. That’s only two weeks away, but it’ll be a long two weeks if there are things you need that you can’t get your hands on without leaving the house. Everyone is being advised to stay indoors and self-quarantine as much as possible so that we might at least slow the rate of new COVID-19 infections.
While we don’t know exactly when shipments will stop, it seems quite apparent that it’s going to happen soon. What makes us say that? Well, Amazon offers a bunch of new “Gold Box” deals each day that offer especially deep discounts on popular products. These are typically some of the best and most exciting deals on Amazon’s site each day… but on Friday there’s only one Gold Box deal and it’s on shampoo. Yeah, that’s not terribly exciting, and it’s likely a sign that the retailer is getting ready to make that shift.
With all that in mind, we wanted to give our readers what could potentially be your last chance to save big on some of Amazon’s most popular products until the company starts up nonessential shipments again in early April. First, we’ll start with five fantastic deals that are only available to Prime members — and if you’re not a Prime member, you can score these deals by signing up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime. You’ll probably want to do that anyway so you can stock up on all the essentials Amazon will be shipping in the coming weeks.
Beginning with the most popular deal we covered this week, the $40 Fire TV Stick is on sale for just $22.99 for Prime subscribers. That’s within $3 of its lowest price ever, and it’s the lowest price we have ever seen outside of Black Friday and Prime Day.
