For a few years now, Apple has been insisting that the iPad is a better choice than a traditional laptop, and that might be true for some users. The iPad Pro, as well as the various features that Apple built for the tablet to take advantage of the extra screen real estate, make it a great tool for work — but not a perfect work device.

That is, it wasn’t an ideal laptop replacement until earlier this week when Apple unveiled a bunch of iOS features for iPad that users have been demanding for years now. And iOS for iPad has received so many features that set it apart from iPhone that it got its own operating system name. iPadOS is, of course, iOS 13, plus all the new iPad features. NASA plans to return humans to the Moon within the next five years. That’s a tall order and, while many people remain skeptical that the agency can pull it off without the massive increase in budget that it has yet to receive, NASA is pushing forward with a trio of unmanned missions that will precede the eventual return of astronauts to the lunar surface.

In a new blog post, NASA announces the three companies that scored contracts to produce lunar landing equipment which will deliver scientific experiments and instruments to Earth’s tiny companion. Astrobotic, Intuitive Machines, and Orbit Beyond will now be working in concert with NASA to accomplish a number of lofty goals.

One of Amazon’s most ambitious, if not downright crazy, initiatives appears to be on the cusp of becoming a reality. Amazon earlier today announced a brand new design for its Prime Air delivery drone while also revealing that fleets of drones may begin delivering packages to consumers in just a few months time.

Amazon’s latest drone design can travel up to 15 miles on a single trip and can deliver packages that weigh less than 5 pounds to customers. The new design — which can take off and land vertically — is said to offer up improvements with respect to efficiency, stability, and safety.
