These leaked Galaxy Note 10 photos are probably fake, but they look amazing

%name These leaked Galaxy Note 10 photos are probably fake, but they look amazing by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

At the time it was first released, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 was easily one of the most powerful and capable smartphones on the planet. It was also one of the most boring smartphones on the planet since it was essentially just a Galaxy Note 8 with slightly better specs and a Bluetooth-connected stylus. The same was true of last year’s Galaxy S9 series when it was first released, but Samsung made up for it with its new Galaxy S10 series smartphones that launched earlier this year. After the S9 was so boring that it caused Samsung’s smartphone sales to tank, the company came back with the vengeance thanks to its completely redesigned Galaxy S10. That’s precisely what we expect to see happen with the Galaxy Note 10 when it’s released about two months from now. While the Note 9 was boring and uninspired, the Note 10 is expected to be an exciting update with an overhauled all-screen design, a new triple-lens camera, and some nifty new features that should add to its appeal.

We’ve heard plenty about the upcoming new Galaxy Note 10 in recent weeks. In fact, rumor has it that this will be the first year Samsung releases multiple different Note models like it does with the Galaxy S series. The Galaxy S10e was apparently so popular that it inspired Samsung to add an entry-level Galaxy Note 10 model to its lineup that will launch with a lower price tag than the flagship version. We can’t wait to see what Samsung has in store this year for the Note series, especially since the Galaxy Fold ended up being such a massive disappointment. While we continue to wait, a new set of leaked photos claim to give us our first glimpse at Samsung’s unreleased Galaxy Note 10.

Big iOS 13 leak might show us the fix for the iPhone’s awful volume indicator

%name Big iOS 13 leak might show us the fix for the iPhone’s awful volume indicator by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

It’s June 3rd, which means Apple will kick off this year’s WWDC edition in just a few hours. As in previous years, the event will be about software updates, as Apple will introduce upgrades for all its operating systems, including iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. Without a doubt, iOS 13 will be the star of the show, Apple’s most popular OS ever. While we already have a good idea what to expect from iOS 13 this year thanks to a series of leaks and renders, not all the new features have been leaked, and we might be in for a few good surprises. One thing that has leaked, and it’s long overdue concerns volume controls. Apple will finally replace that annoying volume HUD with something less irritating, and we have a brand new leak that shows us one of the purported concepts Apple developed for it.

%name The smartphone design we all want is finally real, but it’s not an iPhone or Galaxy device by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

We’ve had all-screen smartphones for a few years now, but all designs so far come with a compromise. Whether it’s the iPhone X’s notch, the Galaxy S10’s hole-punch camera, or the OnePlus 7 Pro’s pop-up camera, all these devices compromise around the same feature, the front camera that needs to be there, ready to take those selfies that so many people love. The ultimate design that would deal with all these compromises is already in the works, the under-display camera, and two companies have already shown off their current prototypes. What’s more interesting is that we’re looking at screen innovation that isn’t coming from Apple or Samsung, which are also studying similar designs.

%name ‘Blood & Truth’ review: As close as you’ll ever get to living out an action movie by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

When I reviewed Farpoint for PlayStation VR two years ago, I proclaimed that first-person shooters could indeed work in virtual reality. This theory has been tested by numerous VR titles over the past two years, but none have captured my attention quite like Blood & Truth. While it isn’t the most ambitious VR game in terms of scope or scale, it sets a new high-water mark for cinematic entertainment in virtual reality.

If you own a PSVR, you’ve likely already played a chunk of Blood & Truth, as it is an expansion of The London Heist, which was the standout demo included on the pack-in PlayStation VR Worlds disc. Blood & Truth is a substantially larger game, though, following Ryan Marks as he attempts to save his family’s criminal enterprise from a rival syndicate following the untimely death of his father.

NASA astronaut captures breathtaking time-lapse of Earth from space

%name NASA astronaut captures breathtaking time lapse of Earth from space by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Here on Earth, we see the Sun rise and set once in any given 24-hour period. If you want to see the sunrise or sunset you need to set your watch so you don’t miss it, or you’ll be left waiting another day for the opportunity. Things are a whole lot different on the International Space Station.

Travelers spending time aboard the orbiting laboratory don’t just have to deal with the lack of gravity and somewhat cramped quarters, they also have to wrestle with the fact that normal “days” don’t really exist when you’re speeding around the Earth over a dozen times per day. Astronaut Nick Hague, who is currently on board the ISS, decided to use that to his advantage and filmed a gorgeous time-lapse of Earth from the eyes of an ISS resident.

Another busy week for Netflix has begun, as the fifth season of Black Mirror is set to hit the streaming service this Wednesday. Unlike seasons 3 and 4, Black Mirror season 5 will have just three episodes, as did the first two seasons. We’re also getting new seasons of 3% as well as the show Designated Survivor, which Netflix picked up for a third season after ABC decided not to continue producing the show following season 2.

Unfortunately, we’re also losing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (surprise, yet another Disney movie) and District 9, so be sure to add both to your queue and watch these sci-fi hits before they vanish for good.

%name This $90 stand mixer on Amazon is just as good as a $300 KitchenAid mixer by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

KitchenAid stand mixers are great, don’t get us wrong. They do a fine job and they’re well-built, so they last a long time. If we’re being honest, though, everything good about a KitchenAid can also be said about other popular stand mixers, but rival models often cost far less than the pricey KitchenAid mixers that have become so trendy. If you’re looking for a good alternative, definitely check out the Hamilton Beach 63390 Stand Mixer. It’s well-made, it’s well-built, and it costs a fraction of what you would pay for a comparable KitchenAid mixer.

Hamilton Beach 63390 Stand Mixer: $89.99

Here are the bullet points from the product page:

  • Same mixing action as Kitchen Aid stand mixers
  • Powerful 300 Watt motor
  • Mixing action gives complete bowl coverage
  • Better mixing than 2-beater stand mixers
  • 3 attachments offer mixing versatility

Here’s a state-by-state look at the fastest mobile network speeds in the US

%name Here’s a state by state look at the fastest mobile network speeds in the US by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Opensignal has released a new report today about mobile network speeds in the US, offering an overview of how smartphone download speeds haven’t improved all that much from this time last year. The report goes into greater detail about that, in addition to ranking each state and the top 50 US cities with the fastest speeds.

Among the key findings of the report, tech hub cities surprisingly don’t excel when compared to the 50 largest cities. For example, San Francisco, Seattle, and Austin are all ranked in the bottom half of that list of 50 when measuring download and upload speeds, plus overall video experience.
