The cat was let out of the bag a little early regarding Motorola’s new Moto Z4, the $499 handset the company officially unveiled this morning — and which Amazon mistakenly sold to a user two days before we were supposed to, er, know it existed.

Nevertheless, it’s here now — or, rather, it will be soon, as it hits Verizon in the US two weeks from today. In keeping with past Z flagships, Verizon has got the exclusive stateside, and as with the announcement of the Moto Z3 as the world’s first “5G-upgradeable” smartphone, the Z4 will likewise be upgradeable to 5G via the company’s “Moto Mod” component once 5G networks are available in your area.

%name Apple’s latest iPad is back down to its lowest price of 2019 by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

The 6th-Generation Apple iPad is the newest iPad model Apple makes, and it’s a much better value than the iPad Air or iPad mini even at its full retail price. If you buy one today from Apple you’ll pay that full retail price, which starts at $329. Head over to Amazon, however, and you won’t pay anywhere close to that much because iPads just dropped back down to their lowest prices of 2019. The 32GB iPad with Wi-Fi can be had for just $249 instead of $329, or you can upgrade to the $459 Wi-Fi + Cellular model for $409. There’s no telling how long these deals are going to stick around though, so get in on the action while you still can.

Apple iPad (Wi-Fi, 32GB) – Silver (Latest Model): $249.00

Apple iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular, 32GB) – Space Gray (Latest Model): $409.00

New renders show Apple’s leaked iPhone 11 design from every angle

%name New renders show Apple’s leaked iPhone 11 design from every angle by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Apple’s upcoming new iPhone 11 series smartphones won’t be the most exciting new handsets of 2019. Not even close. From the front, the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Max, and iPhone 11R (if that’s what Apple ends up naming them) will sport a design that looks identical to Apple’s iPhones from the last two years. Around back, they’ll look the same as the iPhone X and iPhone XS apart from a larger and more unsightly square camera bump and slightly different glass that’s frosted instead of clear, or so says TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Will they be elegant and sleek? Sure they will. This is Apple, after all. Will they feature fit and finish that’s a cut above anything created by Android phone makers in 2019? Of course. To this day, Apple refuses to cut corners or use lesser materials in an effort to decrease costs. Why should it, when the company can get away with charging as much as $1,450 for a single iPhone?

If you’re looking for excitement, there’s plenty to be found elsewhere in the smartphone industry this year. The Galaxy S10 series is already here with a sleek new all-screen design that’s interrupted only by a small “hole-punch” camera. The OnePlus 7 Pro is also already available to buy, and its all-screen design has no interruptions thanks to a selfie camera that pops up out of the top edge of the phone. There are more great designs coming later this year, including a revamped hole-punch design on the Galaxy Note 10, and foldable smartphones will make their debut soon as well.

So, the new iPhone 11 and its two counterparts certainly aren’t the most exciting phones of the year, but they are still the most hotly anticipated smartphones of 2019. We still have more than three months to go before Apple’s next-generation iPhones hit store shelves, but a new series of renders should help pass the time by showing us Apple’s leaked iPhone 11 design from every angle.

This is what the Galaxy Note 10 will look like

%name This is what the Galaxy Note 10 will look like by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

A series of leaks claimed in the past few weeks that the Galaxy Note 10 would sport a different design than the Galaxy S10. The phone will respect the same design principles — Infinity-O screen, in-display fingerprint sensor, and triple-lens camera on the back or better — but it’ll deliver a few notable changes. The punch-hole camera would be placed right in the center, not near the corners as it’s the case for the Galaxy S10 phones. Furthermore, the rear camera design of the Galaxy S10 is also going away. Instead of a central module placed in the center of the top half of the phone, the triple-lens camera will reside near one of the corners, likely the left one, as its the case for most smartphones, including the iPhone, and Huawei’s flagships.

Netflix and Disney speak out against Georgia’s new abortion law

Georgia is one of the latest states to pass legislation that will make it harder for women to get abortions, but Georgia also happens to be one of the countries where several movie studios shoot some of their pictures, including Netflix and Disney. Both studios spoke out against Georgia’s “heartbeat bill” saying that they’ll have to reconsider working in the state if the legislation is implemented.

A planet that shouldn’t exist was just found orbiting a distant star

%name A planet that shouldn’t exist was just found orbiting a distant star by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

When astronomers search for exoplanets they rarely know what they’re going to find, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t rules that would-be planets are expected to follow. Depending on their distance from their host star, any given planet will fall into one of several categories… or at least that’s what scientists have come to expect.

NGTS-4b, a newly-discovered world orbiting a distant star, doesn’t follow many of the rules that researchers thought they knew, and it’s earned the nickname “The Forbidden Planet” because of it.

Free PlayStation 4 games for June 2019: ‘Sonic Mania’ and ‘Borderlands’

%name Free PlayStation 4 games for June 2019: ‘Sonic Mania’ and ‘Borderlands’ by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

The selection of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers has been somewhat lackluster in recent months, but PS4 owners won’t be complaining about June’s titles. In anticipation of the upcoming launch of Borderlands 3 this September, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will be free to download for all of next month. Although I didn’t love The Pre-Sequel, Borderlands 2 is still an absolute classic and belongs in your collection.

Speaking of classics, June’s free games also include Sonic Mania, which many believe is possibly the best Sonic game of the decade. If all the 3D Sonic games in recent years have bummed you out, you owe it to yourself to play this 2D gem that truly recaptures the spirit of the original Sega Genesis games.
