Not only were we left with two Guardians of the Galaxy still alive after Avengers: Infinity War, but there were many other reasons to worry about the future of Marvel’s hugely popular MCU franchise following James Gunn’s firing. Many attempted to explain ahead of Endgame what the third movie in the Guardians series could be about, with some people speculating that the action might happen before Infinity War.

A prequel would solve the issue of so many Guardians dying, especially given that Marvel kept telling people how all those deaths were permanent. Avengers: Endgame fixed some of those problems but also created new ones, so it’s probably safe to say that Guardians Vol. 3 will follow the events of Endgame. And a brand new James Gunn interview confirms all of that, giving us a sneak preview of what we can expect from the upcoming episode.

The promise of flying cars has never been fulfilled. Sure, there are pint-sized airplanes you can also drive on land but let’s be honest here, those are nothing like how futurists in the 1950s imagined transportation would be like over a half-century later. It’s a disappointing reality, but some companies are trying to get us to the flying car finish line in earnest, and a German startup called Lilium just hit a pretty impressive milestone.

The company’s new “air taxi” just completed its maiden voyage, some two years after its initial reveal. In that time, Lilium’s five-seat, jet-like design went from an interesting concept to a real, working aircraft, and it looks very impressive.

We’re just a few weeks out from Apple’s WWDC 2019, but you shouldn’t expect to see much in the way of hardware announcements during the keynote address. As usual, Apple is set to debut the follow-ups to its iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR at a separate event this September, but as has been the case for the past several years, many of the purported details regarding those devices have already begun to leak online.

According to those leaks, the 2019 iPhone lineup will look virtually identical to the latest generation of iPhone models. Save for a triple rear camera on both the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max (and a dual rear camera on the iPhone 11R), the 2019 iPhone lineup won’t break much new ground from a design perspective… which is why we thought it would be a fun challenge to jump even further into the future and dream up a potential iPhone 12.

With $2.5 billion under its belt as we approach the film’s fourth weekend at the box office, Avengers: Endgame isn’t just the biggest MCU movie to date, it’s about to become the highest-grossing movie of all time. It’s also probably the most important film of 2019, and I’m well aware that the final Star Wars is also due to hit theaters this year. Avengers 4 is a massive accomplishment for Marvel, but that doesn’t mean it’s perfect, and we’ve been discussing the various controversies that popped up following the movie’s release. Captain America is the topic of at least one heated debate between fans, and even top Endgame execs, who can’t agree where Steve Rogers went at the end of the movie. The directors say it’s a different timeline, which makes the most sense, while the writers claim he’s been here in the main MCU timeline — Earth-616 — all along. But there’s one other Cap-related debate about his worthiness, and now it has finally been put to rest.
