Apple CEO Tim Cook tweeted early Tuesday morning that the company would be donating money as a way of helping French officials rebuild the Notre Dame cathedral, which was badly damaged in a fire that broke out Monday and destroyed its iconic spire.

A number of public officials from around the world quickly chimed in with their regret at the damage and paying honor to the historically significant landmark and major tourist attraction in Paris. And along with Cook’s promise, more than $600 million was pledged in 24 hours from companies like L’Oreal, as well as rich celebrities, who want to help rebuild the cathedral.

Last week, SpaceX finally accomplished something it had never done before. It launched the Falcon Heavy on its first commercial mission, and when its trio of boosters came back to Earth, it nailed all three of the landings. It was an incredible accomplishment, and still is, but unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans for Falcon Heavy’s core booster.

In an announcement that the company certainly wishes it didn’t have to give, SpaceX revealed to The Verge that the Falcon Heavy center booster was swallowed up by the ocean after it landed safely on the company’s drone ship.

The final season of Game of Thrones premiered Sunday night, scoring a brand new viewership record for the series. The road to the PlayStation 5 begins not with a teaser trailer, a live stream, or a stage presentation. Instead, Sony decided to share the first details about its next-generation console in an interview with Wired. The publication recently sat down with lead systems architect Mark Cerny, who served in the same role for the development of the PlayStation 4, to discuss plans for its unnamed successor, which some reports have pegged for a 2020 launch.

Right up front, Cerny confirmed that the PS5 (or whatever it ends up being called) won’t launch in 2019. Considering the fact that Sony is skipping E3 2019, this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. But he also revealed that devkits of the new console have already been put in the hands of game developers.

We’ve spent some time testing the new Puppy Cube Interactive Touchscreen Projector, and we’ve found that there are two main takeaways. First, the name “Puppy Cube” is super weird — like, why? Second, and infinitely more important, this device is sooooo cool!

Stand up the Puppy Cube on a table, desk, or even on the floor and the ultra-short throw projector beams a clear screen onto the flat surface that you can control with taps and swipes just like a normal touchscreen. It’s Android-powered, so you don’t even need to connect a smartphone or computer, although you can if you want thanks to Miracast and AirPlay support. You can also lay the Puppy Cube on its back and it’ll automatically reorient itself so it can beam a picture up to 100-inches diagonally onto any wall!
