Samsung did things a little differently when it comes to launching its first ever foldable smartphone. First, it unveiled the Infinity Flex screen tech as well as the new One UI software features for foldable handsets.

That happened back in November at its developer conference, where Samsung showed only a prototype handset and a limited number of images. Then, in mid-February, it told the world what the phone would be called, unveiled the final design, and announced the price. Now, the Galaxy Fold is finally available for preorder in the US, and Samsung has shared an infographic that goes into great detail explaining all the specs of the foldable handset.

Nintendo rolled out system update version 8.0.0 for the Switch on Monday, adding a variety of features to the hybrid console. Chief among them is the ability to transfer save data for individual games between Switch consoles, which has been one of the most frequently requested features for the Switch since launch.

The addition of save data transfers is especially intriguing in light of all the rumors about new Switch models coming this year. If Nintendo wants current Switch owners to consider upgrading to the version with “enhanced features,” it needs to give them an easy way to bring all of their save data with them.

We’ve been talking about Avengers: Endgame plot leaks for months now, as several people out there kept claiming they saw either portions of the upcoming Avengers sequel or the entire thing. While some of these leaks shared some common elements, no two leaks were perfectly similar, making it extremely difficult to attempt to verify any of them. That said, It. Finally. Happened. The monster Endgame leak we never really expected to see, given how fanatic Marvel and Disney are about avoiding MCU spoilers, is here.

Should you choose to go forward with this post note that you’re about to read everything about what I just saw, and I do mean that massive spoilers lie ahead. There’s no way to unsee — well, unread — what you’re about to discover.

NASA sent mice into space, and the results are unintentionally hilarious

%name NASA sent mice into space, and the results are unintentionally hilarious by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

At some point in the not-so-distant future, NASA and other space groups around the world will begin embarking on manned missions deeper into our solar system than our species has ever gone before. That means long journeys and extended stays in microgravity for the astronauts who embark on them, and that could pose a problem.

Thanks to the International Space Station we know quite a bit about the effects of low gravity on the human body, but NASA wants to learn more. To that end, the agency has been studying how other species deal with low gravity, specifically focusing on mice. The results are equal parts interesting and humorous.

HBO has just released its audience stats for the premiere of Game of Thrones season 8, which the network says drew a record 17.4 million viewers Sunday night — beating both the 16.1 million viewers who caught the season 7 premiere and the 16.9 million who tuned in for last season’s finale.

The trend when it comes to HBO’s landmark fantasy series has been for viewership figures to basically go in one direction from one season to the next — up and to the right — and it seems that trend is definitely going to hold true as the series prepares to take its bow after only five more episodes.

Facebook’s new Snapchat-like “Stories” format could be about to completely transform your News Feed, if the latest scoop from app researcher Jane Manchun Wong comes to fruition.

Wong, who habitually reverse-engineers apps to discover features being tested before they’re actually revealed to the public, shared this news via Twitter this morning. In the tweet below, you can see normal Facebook posts that are swipeable from right to left, as opposed to the normal vertical scrolling feed.

The world’s largest airplane finally took off

%name The world’s largest airplane finally took off by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

It didn’t take long for SpaceX to become a leader in commercial spaceflight. The company’s reusable rocket technology makes it possible for the company to offer its services at a lower cost and with a shorter turnaround time than its competitors, and it rapidly won contracts from both commercial clients and governments around the world.

But SpaceX isn’t the only company reinventing how to launch satellites and other things into space. Stratolaunch Systems is a startup that has been working on a very different method of launching spacecraft — specifically, carrying a multi-stage launch vehicle to a high altitude before hitting the switch. To do this, the company has developed the Stratolaunch (I know, the naming is a bit confusing), a twin-fuselage plane that took its maiden flight this past weekend.
