While developers have had weeks to get used to iOS 9, regular iPhone users can try it out for the first time today thanks to the release of the first public beta for iOS 9. Apple says that iOS 9 will hopefully be a more stable release than either of its past two releases, iOS 7 and iOS 8. Other features include significant improvements to its Siri voice assistant that will give it more context awareness, added public transportation data for Apple Maps, improvements to the Notes application that will make it easier to make checklists, and multitasking features for the iPad.
