It’s a happy day for Motorola fans as the company has just announced that three of its newest devices are being updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop this week, including the “Pure Edition” of one of the year’s best smartphones, the 2014 version of the Moto X. The Pure Edition is the version of the device that runs on stock Android and doesn’t have the awesome software features that we loved so much in our review of the device, so it’s not surprising that it would get Android 5.0 faster than the standard version of the 2014 Moto X.
