Zoom’s video conferencing software has exploded in popularity as everyone is stuck inside while the coronavirus pandemic affects virtually every country on the planet.
Zoom is a robust and easy-to-use piece of software, but some people have raised concerns about how it handles user privacy.
In an analysis of Zoom’s iOS app, Motherboard found that the app was sending data to Facebook even if the user wasn’t logged in to Facebook or didn’t have a Facebook account.
